A fabulous golf course in a county full of fabulous golf courses. It stands out from the crowd with a course that is meticulously maintained and the new irrigation system has saved it from being burnt to a crisp this hot hot hot summer. The greens and tees are in excellent condition with not a blade of grass out of place. The greens are fast and true with many a hidden borrow that deceives the uninitiated The staff are friendly and attentive with a personal touch and the food offering is excellent with a wide range of options to suit all dietary requirements.

Played a better ball match that combined members and guests - we had a terrific game. My partner off 0.2 and one of the oppo off 22, so it was interesting to see how the course was a test for both (and me off the green tees). Thanks to my 90 foot birdie putt on the last we halved our match - you needed that detail obviously. Ladies facilities are really top notch. We had a delicious carvery buffet sitting outside on the delightful terrace and I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Friday.
