Excellent Service

I received a voucher for a golf experience as a gift: a round of golf and lunch with a golf pro - great gift but for a beginner like me I felt it was a bit beyond me. I reached out to Swyng to ask if I could trade in the voucher for a different type of experience eg lessons to the value of the voucher. The Classic is 3 nights and 2 rounds - Archerfield Fidra and North Berwick West Links. Fewer rounds but two of the most sought-after tee times in Scottish golf, with a more relaxed pace.

Are green fees and accommodation included?

Yes - both are included in the price. You pay once at checkout. We cover the green fees and bed and breakfast at your chosen hotel for the duration of the itinerary.

How does booking work?

Once the voucher is redeemed, we coordinate with the hotels and courses directly, confirm availability, hold the options, and book everything in the recipient's name. Most bookings are confirmed within a few days.

How far in advance should we book?

The longer the lead time, the better. The hotels and courses are subject to availability at the time of booking. If you have specific dates in mind, redeem early to give yourself the best chance of securing them.

Do these breaks work on weekends?

It depends on the itinerary. The Classic (Archerfield Fidra and North Berwick) is available Sunday to Friday only. The Escape (Craigielaw, Gullane No.2, and The Glen) is available on weekends - a Friday arrival supplement of £40 per person applies, which we will confirm before any dates are locked.

What if a hotel or course isn't available on our dates?

If your preferred hotel or course isn't available, we will suggest an alternative of the same standard. We will always check with you before confirming anything different from what's on the voucher.

Can we swap courses on the itinerary?

Yes, within reason. If you'd like to play Gullane No.1 instead of No.2, for example, you would just pay the difference in green fees. Get in touch when you redeem and we'll work out the best option.

Is travel included?

No - travel to and from East Lothian is not included. The voucher covers green fees and bed and breakfast only. Edinburgh Airport is around 20 minutes from Gullane, making it straightforward to reach from most UK cities.

How long is the voucher valid for?

12 months from the date of purchase. Prices are based on May to September 2027 availability. If you're looking to redeem outside that window, get in touch and we'll advise on options.
