About Loch Lomond
Loch Lomond Golf Club combines a world-class Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish design with one of the most breathtaking settings in British golf, on the eastern shores of Loch Lomond.
Founded in 1994 and designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, Loch Lomond Golf Club was built on the Rossdhu Estate on the eastern shores of Loch Lomond in Dunbartonshire. The course weaves through mature woodland with the loch itself and the Highland peaks providing a constant backdrop, and the estate's Georgian mansion, Rossdhu House, serves as one of the most striking clubhouses in British golf. Immaculately conditioned and thoughtfully routed, it has hosted the Scottish Open multiple times and is considered a modern classic. Visitor access is extremely limited, as the club operates as a strictly private members' club requiring a member introduction.

Loch Lomond
Scotland has many great golf courses, but very few that combine elite course design with a setting as visually arresting as Loch Lomond. Founded in 1994, the club was built on the Rossdhu Estate, a historic property whose Georgian mansion now serves as one of the finest clubhouses in the British Isles. Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish designed the course to work with the existing landscape: mature woodland, the shoreline of the loch itself, and the Highland peaks that rise beyond it. The result is a modern parkland layout of exceptional quality, one that feels entirely at home in its surroundings rather than imposed upon them.
The conditioning at Loch Lomond is consistently outstanding. The fairways, rough and greens are maintained to a standard that reflects the club's position as one of the most exclusive in Scotland, and the presentation is impeccable throughout the season. Strategically, the course rewards careful club selection and precise approach play. Several holes play along or close to the loch shore, where water comes into play and the views are at their most dramatic. The Scottish Open brought the world's best players here on multiple occasions, and the course held up superbly against elite fields.
Access to Loch Lomond is, by design, very restricted. The club is privately run for a small membership and a round here is genuinely rare. For those fortunate enough to play it, the combination of elite course design, exceptional conditioning and the incomparable Highland setting makes it one of the most memorable experiences in golf. The drive up the A82 past Loch Lomond itself, with the peaks rising above the water, is a fitting overture to what awaits on the course.
